Compétences ou objectifs

The premise of CIT is that learners develop knowledge, skills and abilities through lecture, class discussion and group work. Upon successful completion of the CIT course, a graduate will be able to investigate crimes that would be assigned to a general detective office.

The students must make continuous assessments, balancing their investigations within the context of gravity of offence, available resources, outcome, and community expectations.

 

Préalable(s)

  • complete a pre-course reading assignment
  • complete the CPKN Module “Court Testimony Skills”

Particularité(s)

  • be currently working in or entering a criminal investigation unit
  • be a First Class Constable (three years’ experience policing) OR have written permission of the Course Coordinator

Risk acceptance

From the time of reservation, registration and until the end of training, the organization certifies that the student is fit to take the course and accepts the inherent risks. The organization is responsible for cancelling a student’s registration if the student’s health and fitness are no longer sufficient for the course. Furthermore, ENPQ reserves the right to interrupt a student’s training if it has reason to believe that the student’s health and fitness are not adequate; ENPQ will inform the organization accordingly.
