To enable students to acquire theoretical and legal knowledge and to develop advanced techniques in the use of this approved instrument.

 

Preliminary

Particularity

Before the course, students must complete sections 1, 4, and 5 of the workbook that will be sent to them upon registration.

Students will only be trained on the DataMaster DMT-C. They will be designated as qualified technicians for this instrument and will receive a qualification card valid for a period of five years.

Students will be requalified every five years.

During the course, students will be given access to the digital learning environment (Moodle).

 

 

Content

 

Laws of physics, pharmacology and physiology of alcohol — Breath sampling — Particular situations — Interpretation of measurements and calculations in breath analysis — Extrapolation of the role of alcohol in impaired driving — Description of the functioning of the instrument — Preparation of the instrument — Conducting tests with a subject — Interpretation of the results — Processing of the required forms and reports — Court testimony — Evaluation on the use of the approved instrument
