Refresher Day - Racial and Social Profiling, Commitment and Mobilization

Context

The issue of domestic violence is undoubtedly a concern for the Ministère de la Sécurité publique (MSP). The exacerbated vulnerability of the victims in the current context of isolation is a factor that aggravates the problem.

As part of Action 38 of the 2018-2023 Government Action Plan on Domestic Violence, the MSP is committed to updating the knowledge and tools used by police officers to ensure suitable and adapted police intervention in situations of domestic violence and to promote collaboration with organizations that help victims and abusers.

Several measures have been planned to give concrete expression to this commitment, including the holding of a refresher day on domestic violence. In the context of application of health emergency measures, it is in the form of a webinar that the Ministère de la Sécurité publique and École nationale de police du Québec have prepared a program for the holding of this Domestic Violence Refresher Day.
